Women Against Poverty Agricultural Program
Empowering women to improve their agricultural skills
The Women Against Poverty Agricultural Program trains women in agriculture, which includes teaching how to plant and cultivate, harvest, care for the soil, rotate crops, etc. is being expanded to include five town lots along Ismaia Road in Kabala. SEED will hire an agricultural trainer to work with the women throughout the coming year to empower the women to improve their agricultural skills as they develop a sustainable source of income.
Nar Sarah Clinic helped a local group of women develop an education program to learn, tie die procedures, tailoring, catering and forming an agricultural cooperative. They are making attempts at micro-financing to fund and expand their program. Funding is needed to develop new programs and to purchase the needed supplies.
